When I was a kid, I used to watch a
Garfield cartoon at my Grandma’s with one character that was an egg that was afraid
to hatch. Whether your Egglet is afraid
to hatch or just making a fashion statement, he or she will be a perfect
addition to any Easter basket. Feel free
to make the Egg without legs if you’d like a more classic design.
If you are particularly sensitive to
smell, you might want to use a different yarn as the Floral Bouquet yarn is
scented.

Use Floral Bouquet yarn.
Rnd 1: Sc 6 in magic ring OR Ch 2, Sc in 2nd ch from hook
Rnd 2: Inc 6 times around (12 sts)
Rnd 3: [Inc in one st, Sc in the next 3 sts] rep 3 times
around (15 sts)
Rnd 4: [Inc, Sc 4] rep 3 times around (18 sts)
Rnd 5: [Inc, Sc 5] rep 3 times around (21 sts)
Rnd 6: [Inc, Sc 6] rep 3 times around (24 sts)
Rnd 7: Sc 24 (24 sts)

Legs
Use Bright Orange yarn.
Make 2.
Row 1: Ch 10.
Row 2: Turn.
Starting in the 2nd ch from hook, sl st in the next 3 sts to
form the first toe. [Ch 4. Starting in the 2nd ch from hook, sl st
in the next 3 sts.] Rep 2 times to form the 2nd and 3rd
toes. Sl st in the remaining 6 sts of
the chain-row to finish the leg.
Finish off with a slip
stitch and weave in ends, closing off any remaining opening.
Finishing-
Sew the base of both
legs to the base of the egg. Draw any
loose ends back into the finished egg.
