Thank you for sharing your patterns! I recently began crocheting, so I even more recently started blogging about it. I posted a picture of my Happy Hippo and linked to your pattern.
ReplyDeleteLydia, I love the colored yarn you used! Thanks for linking to me!
ReplyDeleteby inc 5 does that mean do 5 sc in every stitch? sorry im trying to learn and don't know what that means...
ReplyDeleteInc means you do 2 stitches in the stitch or space indicated. It can also be written as 2 Sc. If the pattern tells you to Inc 5, you should work 2 Sc stitches in each of the the next 5 stitches for a total of 10 stitches in the round.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I am trying out your pattern and it is super cute ;) Thanks! I have some questions while making it. On round 18, you wrote Inc 5, Sc 5 (total of 15 sts). Won't it make one side of the round wider than the other (as in round 19, 20 and 22, too)? If that's so, which side should that be? The front or the back of the hippo should be wider?
ReplyDeleteThe back should be wider to give him a butt:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for this awesome pattern! I love it, and so do my girls!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, as are all of your patterns. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute little sweet hippo :) thank you a lot for this pattern
